Today was an exciting day for room 19! Because our letter of the week is 'e', we did some egg painting in class. One of the child's parents came in to help show us how to blow the egg out of the shell by pricking it with a pin. After the children were shown how to do that they had to carefully hold the fragile shell and paint it with water colours. Once the shell was dry they were able to attach a ribbon to it so it could be hung as a decoration. By the end of the lesson we even learnt a bit of German! As it is a German tradition we also learnt the name of the activity which is to decorate a tree with these and that is called 'Osterstraub'.
