Arahoe Arbour Day

Last Thursday Arahoe held its very first Arbour Day Dig Deep or Donate. Arbour is the latin word for trees and the reason behind arbour day is to plant trees and nurture the environment. It was a successful morning with over 800 people taking part and 130 native trees being planted into the school bank and $1100 dollars been raised from the bake sale. Thank you so so much to all the wonderful parents in room 18 that can along and supported a great cause. Here are afew photos of our class taken by my husband Jack. If you have photos of your child please send them through so I can put on the blog. If you would like to see more please head to Arahoes blog about our journey becoming more sustainable and teaching children about waste and the gardens - growarahoe@blogspot.com
